Not far from the Speyside Cooperage, in the small town of Craigellachie, lies the distillery of the same name, which was founded in 1891 and translates as "rocky mountain". Unusually, the Craigellachie Distillery bottles its single malts with odd age statements. The whisky produced there is also one of the main ingredients in Dewar's Blends.

Craigellachie 13 years matured the entire time in first fill bourbon casks and first fill sherry casks. Bottled at 46% alcohol by volume, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Intense notes of roasted pineapple and subtle hints of vanilla. Plus fresh menthol accents and strong facets of smoke.

Taste: Pear and pear peel, pineapple with a hint of sweetness, tart malt and some dry woodiness.
