In 2000, Compass Box founder John Glaser was working for a major British distiller. As an American living in London, he decided to pursue his own interests in the future and founded Compass Box. A company that takes up the craft of blending and presents it in the form of characteristic and unique bottlings. The focus here is not on the names of the distilleries, but rather on the respective flavor profile of the whiskey.

Compass Box The Story of the Spaniard matured for an undefined period of time in a combination of former sherry, red wine and bourbon casks. Bottled at 43 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.

Aroma: Mild fruitiness with hints of nougat chocolate, spices and slightly nutty oak.

Taste: Sweet with caramel, red berries, hints of dates, anise and a slightly chocolaty oak note.
