Caisteal Chamuis Blended Malt 0.7l, alc. 46 Vol.-%

Caisteal Chamuis is a blended malt named after the medieval ruins of Castle Camus on the Isle of Skye in Scotland. The once strategic stronghold helped the Clan Macleod secure their influence in the region. The Caisteal Chamuis without age statement is created from single malts from various Scottish islands. The first maturation took place in a mixture of first and multiple fill bourbon and sherry casks. In addition, it matured in fresh American white oak barrels. The blended malt whiskey was then given a finish in former bourbon casks to harmonize the individual components.

Caisteal Chamuis matured for an undefined period in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, supplemented by fresh American white oak casks (Virgin Oak). The final was matured in bourbon casks. Bottled at 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Mildly sweet, delicate spiciness with maritime notes, light smoke and a hint of oak.

Taste: Sweet with honey and vanilla, delicate herbal notes, some smoke and a pinch of pepper.
