Bruichladdich 18 Years 1984 Enlightment Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, 53.7% Vol

The Bruichladdich distillery was founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on the banks of Loch Indaal. Closed in 1994, a group of private investors breathed new life into the distillery in 2000. Today Bruichladdich produces single malt whiskey under its own name on the island of Islay without any peat smoke. Medium-strong smoky whiskey as Port Charlotte and the smokiest single malts in the world as Octomore.

Bruichladdich 1984 18 Years Enlightment matured in two single bourbon casks (14+15) from 1984 to 2002. Bottled with a strong 53.7 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Intense fruit, creamy vanilla with a buttery edge, aromatic spices with a dry oak note.

Taste: Ripe grapes, apples and pears, vanilla and honey, pleasant spiciness and some nutty oak.
