The Balblair Distillery, located in the very north of the Highlands, was founded in 1790 and is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland still in operation. The name of the distillery translates as "settlement in the plains". A few years ago, the whisky range was changed from stating the vintage to stating the actual age.

Balblair 15 years matured the entire time in ex-bourbon barrels with a finish in Spanish first fill oak butts.
Bottled with 46 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Honey, spicy gingerbread, followed by juicy plums and lemon peel.

Taste: Silky texture with dark chocolate, tropical fruits and spices.
