The Glasgow Distillery is the first independent whiskey distillery in Glasgow, Scotland, for over 100 years. Founded in 2012, production of Makar Gin, which came onto the market in 2014, began immediately after its launch. The young distillery has also successfully launched several bottlings in the single malt whiskey sector.
1770 Glasgow The Original Fresh & Fruity matured for an undefined period of time in former bourbon barrels and was then matured in fresh American white oak barrels (Virgin Oak). Bottled 46% vol. Alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.
Aroma: Floral hints, intense fruitiness, sweet pastries and slightly spicy oak notes.
Taste: Distinctive sweetness with vanilla, caramel and honey, woody nuances with aromatic spice notes.
