The Glenfiddich distillery was built between 1886 and 1887 by William Grant and began production on Christmas Day 1887. In 1892, the founder took a break from managing the Glenfiddich Distillery to establish the nearby Balvenie Distillery, also still owned by William Grant & Sons. In 1963 the distinctive three-sided Glenfiddich bottle was introduced. In the same year, the distillery also brought the first official single malt whiskey onto the market.
Glenfiddich IPA Experiment matured for an undefined period of time in former bourbon barrels and was subsequently matured in IPA beer barrels. Bottled at 43% vol. Alcohol.
Aroma: Floral with green apples, pears, dry nuts and delicate hop bitterness.
Taste: Citrus and riper fruits, delicate herbal notes, grains and hints of an India pale ale.
