Highland Park is not only one of the most northerly distilleries in Scotland, but also one of the oldest. The operators of the distillery claim that it was founded in 1798. Located in the town of Kirkwall in the Orkneys, Highland Park produces a spicy, smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland that uses its own malt floors. The bottlings have nicknames reminiscent of the Vikings.

Highland Park Cask Strength No.2 matured in former sherry casks for an undefined period of time. Bottled with a strong 63.9% vol. Alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Sweet and creamy with hints of spices and dried fruit, slightly dry smokiness with some oak.

Taste: Orange and peel, grapefruit, sugary sweetness with a slightly peppery note of spices and an aromatic note of smoke.
