Glen Elgin 18 Years Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whiskey 0.7l, alc. 54.8% by volume

Glen Elgin distillery marks a turning point in single malt history. Founded on Speyside in 1898, it was the last distillery to be built during the boom years of Scotch whiskey production. During the early years of production, Glen Elgin was repeatedly closed and reopened. During the following decades, the distillery changed hands several times, with production always standing still between acquisitions. Today Glen Elgin mainly distills for the blend industry.

Glen Elgin 18 years matured the entire time in former sherry casks. Bottled at 54.8 vol. % alcohol, without coloring.

Aroma: Distinctive sweetness, grassy notes, fresh and floral with malt and fruits.

Palate: Green apples and pear peel, vanilla and toffee with a touch of spiciness and dry grain.
