Mount Gay Black Barrel 0.7l, alc. 43% vol., rum Barbados

The Mount Gay distillery has been active on the Caribbean island of Barbados since 1703, making it the oldest rum producer in the world.

To produce it, select distillates are blended before they mature in whiskey barrels for 3-7 years until they receive their finish in charred bourbon oak barrels for 6 months.

Aroma: A spicy, buttery bouquet accompanied by aromas such as gingerbread, toffee and lychee as well as subtle notes of vanilla, lime and orange.

Taste: Peppery, combined with aromas of pineapple, ripe plums and smoky woody tones, followed by a robust, powerful finish.
