Stauning Smoke - Tawny Port 0.7l, alc. 50.3% by volume

The Stauning Distillery was founded in 2005 in the town of the same name in Denmark. Production began in 2009 with an initial output of 60,000 pure alcohol per year. After Diageo acquired a stake in the distillery, the facility was expanded and the output increased to 750,000 pure alcohol per year. Stauning malts the rye for production and in some places uses peat and heather for drying.

Bottled with a strong 50.3% alcohol by volume, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Sweet campfire smoke, thyme, heather honey.

Taste: salted caramel, citrus, tobacco, gentle smoke.
