Tobermory was founded in 1798 in the town of the same name on the Scottish island of Mull. After many sales and closures, the distillery operated in places as Ledaig Distillery. However, after another closure it was renamed back to Tobermory. Today the distillery successfully produces non-smoky whiskey, which they bottle as Tobermory. And also smoky single malt, which they bring to connoisseurs' glasses as Ledaig.
Tobermory 18 years matured the entire time in former bourbon barrels. Bottled at 46.3 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.
Aroma: Floral and grainy with sugary sweetness, coffee with milk and fresh mint, ripe apples.
Taste: Sweet with cinnamon and toffee, mild spiciness with some licorice, ripe fruits and barley malt.
