An association led by James Allardice founded the Glendronach distillery in 1826 in the Scottish town of Huntly. Most recently under the leadership of Billy Walker, the distillery first developed into an insider tip and later into an iconic brand. The single malts from Glendronach, which matured entirely in Spanish sherry casks, are particularly popular.
Glendronach 18 years matured the entire time in former sherry casks. Bottled at 46% vol. Alcohol, without coloring.
Aroma: Dark chocolate and spices, brown sugar with nuts and dark fruit, aromatic oak.
Taste: Sweetness and spice mixed with caramel and nutmeg, dried figs and dates, honey and dark chocolate.
