The history of the Chivas Regal brand dates back to 1801. The initial wine business would later become one of the largest brands in the blended whiskey sector. As the royal purveyor to the Queen, the brand is now popular and in demand worldwide with a variety of different bottlings of different ages.
Chivas Regal 13 years old first matured in ex-bourbon casks and was then partially matured in rye whiskey casks. Bottled at 40 vol. % alcohol.
Aroma: Crunchy grain with a subtle mix of spices and sweetness, delicately fruity with some oak.
Palate: Hints of white chocolate, dry kernel grain, creamy caramel and spice.
