In 1987, John Teeling acquired a former distillery called Ceimici Teoranta Distillery, which was owned by the state and produced potato distillates. After renaming it the Cooley Distillery, he equipped the distillery to produce both single malt and single grain. With the acquisition of the old Kilbeggan Distillery, John Teeling created space to store the whiskeys produced at Cooley Distillery.

Kilbeggan Triple Cask reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon-, Sherry- und Fässern aus amerikanischer Weisseiche. Abgefüllt mit 43 % vol. Alkohol.

Aroma: Getreidebetont mit Süße und floralen Noten, Anklänge von Kokosnuss und Nüssen.

Geschmack: Malzige Süße, eingekochte Früchte mit kernigem Getreide und trockener Eiche.
