In 1966, the companies John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and the Cork Distilleries Company (which operated the Old Midleton Distillery) merged to form the Irish Distillers Group. Subsequently, it was decided to close the existing distilleries and concentrate all production in a new, very modern facility. This was built in Midleton. In 1975, production ended at the Old Jameson Distillery and began at the new one. The old distillery has since been converted into a visitor center.
Jameson IPA reifte die komplette Zeit in ehemaligen Bourbon und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Indian Pale Ale Fässern. Abgefüllt mit 40% vol. Alkohol.
