Glendalough Double Barrel Single Grain 0,7l, alc. 42 Vol.-%

Five friends from Dublin founded the Glendalough Distillery in 2011. Various styles of Irish whiskey are produced on site in small batches. The distillery also produces gin. The label on the bottles features St. Kevin, who, according to legend, stood in the water with blackbird eggs in his hands for 13 days and 13 nights until the chicks hatched. He stayed there for another 13 days until they fledged.

Glendalough Double Barrel matured for an undefined period in a combination of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. Bottled with 42 % vol. alcohol.

Aroma: Sweet cereals with delicate nuttiness, caramel and citrus fruits, fresh and floral.

Taste: Lemongrass, nutmeg and toffee, some ginger with dry malt and oak.
