On the Scottish island of Islay lies Loch Finlaggan, a place of great significance in Scottish history. The heads of Clan Donald chose Finlaggan Castle as their home and the center of their rule, so Islay is often referred to as the cradle of Clan Donald. The Lords of the Isles ruled the islands and part of the west coast of Scotland virtually independently of royal control in the 13th to 15th centuries until 1493, when the lordship of the islands fell to James IV of Scotland.

Finlaggan Port Finished reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Portweinfässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 vol. % Alkohol.

Aroma: Speckiger Rauch mit angenehmer Süße und kräutriger Würzigkeit, zarte Beerenfrüchte.

Geschmack: Süß und rauchig, maritim mit fruchtigen Noten, glasierter Speck und leicht trockener Eiche.
