Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Rye 0,7l alc. 45,2 Vol.-%

There was already a whiskey distillery on the site of the Woodford Reserve Distillery in Kentucky in 1812. It was opened by a certain Elijah Pepper. After several changes of ownership, the distillery was closed and sold by Brown-Forman in 1970. A few years later, however, it was bought back, modernized and put into operation. Woodford Reserve uses atypical Scottish pot stills for distillation, which are modeled on the stills at the Auchentoshan Distillery in Glasgow.

Woodford Reserve Rye reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in frischen Fässern aus amerikanischer Weisseiche (Virgin Oak). Abgefüllt mit 45,2 % vol. Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff.

Aroma: Würzig mit tiefer Getreidenote, cremige Süße, Zedernholz und etwas Marzipan.

Geschmack: Fruchtig mit Äpfeln, würzig mit Pfeffer, milde Süße, getreidebetont, Eiche.
