Maker's Mark is unusual in many ways. For example, the spelling of the word whisky without the "e", as is usual for bourbon from Kentucky. Secondly, rye is not used within the grain. Maker's Mark is sold in square bottles sealed with red wax. The founder's wife once gave the whisky its name, drew the label and came up with the idea of dipping the bottles in wax, which gives the bottle its unmistakable appearance.

Maker's 46 reifte für nicht definierte Zeit zuerst in frischen Fässern aus amerikanischer Weisseiche (Virgin Oak) und erhält im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Fässern mit getoasteten Stäben aus französischer Eiche . Abgefüllt mit 47 % vol. Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff.

Aroma: Cremige Süße mit Röstaromen, Getreide und Gewürzen, trockenes Eichenholz.

Geschmack: Süß mit Toffee, würzig mit Pfeffer und Nelken, trocken-holzig mit Röstnoten.
