With an annual production of around 90 million liters, Jack Daniel's is the best-selling American whiskey brand in the world. Unlike American whiskey distilleries and brands, which have changed hands many times since the 19th century, Jack Daniel's has only been sold once. The Motlow brothers, Jack Daniel's great-nephews, sold the company to the Brown-Forman group in 1956.
