In 1987, John Teeling acquired a former distillery called Ceimici Teoranta Distillery, which was owned by the state and produced potato distillates. After renaming it the Cooley Distillery, he equipped the distillery to produce both single malt and single grain. With the acquisition of the old Kilbeggan Distillery, John Teeling created space to store the whiskeys produced at Cooley Distillery.

Tyrconnell 10 Jahre Madeira Finish reifte zuerst in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern und erhielt im Anschluss eine Nachreifung in Madeirafässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 % vol. Alkohol.

Aroma: Süß mit weinigen Noten und hellen Trockenfrüchten, zart würzig mit etwas Eiche.

Geschmack: Aprikosenmarmelade, Ingwer und Rosinen, Karamell und etwas Muskat, malzig.
