Highland Park is not only one of the northernmost distilleries in Scotland, but also one of the oldest. The operators of the distillery claim that it was founded back in 1798. Located in the small town of Kirkwall on the Orkneys, Highland Park produces a spicy, smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to use its own malting floors. The bottlings bear names reminiscent of the Vikings.

Highland Park Cask Strength No.4 reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in einer komination aus    First Fill sherry seasoned European oak casks, First Fill Sherry seasoned American oak casks, Refill casks, Ex-Bourbonfässer und Ex-Portweinfässer . Abgefüllt mit kräftigen 64,3 % vol. Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff und nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Rosa Grapefruit, duftendes Rosenwasser, exotische, in der Sonne getrocknete Gewürze und Lakritze kommen zusammen. 

Geschmack: Erneut exotische, in der Sonne getrocknete Gewürze und erdige Anklänge von gerösteter Eiche und Torfrauch.
