In 1966, the companies John Power & Son, John Jameson & Son and the Cork Distilleries Company (which operated the Old Midleton Distillery) merged to form the Irish Distillers Group. Subsequently, it was decided to close the existing distilleries and concentrate all production in a new, very modern facility. This was built in Midleton. In 1975, production ended at the Old Jameson Distillery and began at the new one. The old distillery has since been converted into a visitor center.

Powers John's Lane reifte die komplette Zeit in einer Kombination aus ehemaligen Bourbon- und Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit 46 % vol. Alkohol, nicht kältefiltriert.

Aroma: Kerniges Getreide mit zarter Süße, reifen Zitrusfrüchten und -schale, würzige Eiche.

Geschmack: Süß und würzig im Mix, Karamell und Gewürznelken, Aprikosen und Orangen, trockenes Getreide.
