In 1987, John Teeling acquired a former distillery called Ceimici Teoranta Distillery, which was owned by the state and produced potato distillates. After renaming it the Cooley Distillery, he equipped the distillery to produce both single malt and single grain. With the acquisition of the old Kilbeggan Distillery, John Teeling created space to store the whiskeys produced at Cooley Distillery.

Kilbeggan Traditional Irish Whiskey reifte für nicht definierte Zeit in Eichenholzfässern. Abgefüllt mit milden 40 % vol. Alkohol.

Aroma: Mild und leicht süß, unterschwellige Gewürznote mit kernigem Getreide und zarter Frucht.

Geschmack: Malzige Herbe mit süßem Karamell und Honig, grünen Äpfeln und floraler Würzigkeit.
