Highland Park is not only one of the northernmost distilleries in Scotland, but also one of the oldest. The operators of the distillery claim that it was founded back in 1798. Located in the small town of Kirkwall on the Orkneys, Highland Park produces a spicy, smoky single malt and is one of the few distilleries in Scotland to use its own malting floors. The bottlings bear names reminiscent of the Vikings.

Highland Park 16 Jahre reifte die komplette Zeit in ehemaligen Sherryfässern. Abgefüllt mit milden 44,5 % vol. Alkohol, ohne Farbstoff.

Aroma: süß und würzig, Anklänge von reifer Frucht, Heidekraut und etwas Torfrauch.

Geschmack: Feigen, Aprikosen und Muskat. Dazu Marzipan-Schokolade.
