The Epicurean Amarone Finish Blended Malt 0.7l, alc. 48% vol.

The Epicurean is the work of independent bottler Douglas Laing and part of Remarkable Regional Malts. This series is dedicated to the different regions of Scotland and reflects their individual character traits in terms of taste across various bottlings. The Epicurean represents the Scottish Lowlands with aromas of flowers and fresh fruit. The bottlings of The Epicurean are characterized in places by post-aging in special casks.

The Epicurean Amarone Finish first matured in ex-bourbon casks for an undefined period of time and then received a post-maturation in Amarone casks. Bottled at 48 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not chill-filtered.

Aroma: Fresh and floral with notes of ripe fruit, dry oak and a deep note of wine.

Taste: Fruity and sweet with peaches, green apples and almonds, hints of hay.
