The Bruichladdich distillery was founded in 1881 by the Harvey brothers on the banks of Loch Indaal. Closed in 1994, a group of private investors breathed new life into the distillery in 2000. Today Bruichladdich produces single malt whiskey on the island of Islay under its own name, without any peat smoke. Octomore 14.2 5 years 2017 matured for five years in a combination of first fill Oloroso hogsheads and second fill Amarone barrels . Bottled with a powerful 57.7 vol. % alcohol, without coloring and not cold filtered.
