The Loch Lomond distillery was founded in 1964 on the lake of the same name near the town of Alexandria. The distillery is very diverse in the production of whiskey. Be it through the malt (smoky and non-smoky) as well as the various systems used to produce a whiskey. In addition to pot stills, the distillery has a few other stills: Lomond stills, since 1993 Coffey stills for grain whiskey and column stills.

Loch Lomond Distillers Choice is distilled exclusively from 100% malted barley in a continuous Coffey still and matured for an unspecified time in first fill and refill American oak barrels .

Bottled at 48.8 vol. % alcohol, not cold filtered.

Aroma: Deep floral and fruity notes of rose, violet, peach, pear and blackcurrant.

Taste: Silky mouthfeel with tart fruits of blackberries and green apples. Honey and golden barley notes are added.
